EDP Doornroosje

EDP teams up with Planet Rose this March to help celebrate 20 years of Doornroosje’s premier house and techno party.

As Holland’s longest running club night, too many names to mention have graced Planet Rose’s esteemed bills — from luminaries like Daft Punk, Jeff Mills and Laurent Garnier, to underground tastemakers the world over. On March 28 it’s Electric Deluxe’s turn to takeover Nijmegen’s renowned music hall. And as ever there’s the whole dancefloor range in tow.

Hypnotic honcho Giorgio Gigli and Stroboscopic’s Lucy have been part of the Electric Deluxe fold for some time now. Both masters of the trippy, heady end of the spectrum both have more than proven their clout behind the decks. Meanwhile roster signings AnD have gone from strength to strength since the release of their powerful debut album, ‘Cosmic Microwave Background’. Since stealing the show at ADE the pair have been smashing their way through Europe with their uncompromising sound. Their live and wholly unpredictable set is not to be missed.

Similarly Lakker have been racking up a wealth of distinct and well-received releases for Stroboscopic and R&S Records of late. Their approach to shows are just as hard-hitting and deeply memorable; playing live they are in their element. Finally araD, the long-awaited solo project of Lakker’s Dara Smith — and Electric Deluxe’s latest signing, will make its world debut. If his wayfaring ‘Haon’ release is anything to go by, this one’s going to be a wonky ride.

Of course Electric Deluxe’s own Speedy J will be manning the decks, this time for a meaty three and a half hours. Dancing shoes a must!
